After leaving the goats hooves for a day to harden, I was able to cut some more of the rot.
However, as seen in the picture, there is still more that needs trimming away but doing so will cause the hoof to bleed (which I learnt).
As the zinc sulphate bath was successful in treating the herd last time, I will put this goat in the bath to soak her hooves. This will dry them out and hopefully solve the problem.
Although she can’t infect the others, the bacteria may have already spread before she was isolated so I will have to keep an eye on the goats for limping!
