Welcome to my world of mammals and microscopes!
Living up to my name Heidi I am a goat keeper!
In September 2017 I collected my first pedigree Golden Guernseys and by March 2018 I was a proud goat-grandmother of Fred and Betsy.
The inspiration behind the “Animals are my therapy” project blossomed from a seed planted by my other four-legged friends Stanley, Lilo, Carlos, and Maisie.
Mammary glands, a neocortex, 3 middle ear bones, hair – humans are included!
My aim is to share my knowledge to help other interested students including younger students, and to share my personal story to make a positive impact by encouraging others with any obstacles to overcome, whilst learning from other people’s knowledge, stories, and experience.
“Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.” ~ Eckhart Tolle
I LOVE to learn.
The microscope symbolises my fascination with biology and the value of practical application. Work experience has, in fact, changed my life – academic understanding, hugely important though it is, is not everything.
As a hobby I am working towards my flute recital diploma.
I am dedicated to changing perceptions and broadening people’s outlooks, not least in my voluntary work for the charity Mind.
I love the outdoors.
For the past 2 years I have spent my summer working abroad, you can read my travel blogs here:
